2010 ANDRA Championship & Sydney Dragway Track Champions Awards

The annual ANDRA Championship and the Sydney Dragway Track Champions awards presentations will be held in the Tivoli Ballroom at Rooty Hill RSL, on Thursday September 9th prior to the Fuchs Australian Nationals event at Sydney Dragway on September 10-12.

Sponsors, crew members, family and friends of the sport that wish to celebrate the success of all the 2010 ANDRA Pro Series and Rocket Allstar Champions and the Sydney Dragway Track Champions can purchase tickets at $90 each. This includes a sumptuous three course meal with beverage package and entertainment provided by Salsa Kingz.

Naming rights sponsors, FUCHS and ANDRA Pro Series Drag Racing are proud to announce the Prostate Cancer Foundation will be the official charity of the 2010 FUCHS Australian Nationals (FAN).  We would like to invite all ANDRA Pro Series Sponsors and ANDRA competitors to pledge their support by making a contribution, large or small, towards this deadly disease. FAN coincides with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, so this allows a great opportunity to promote prostate cancer awareness with our core followers and competitor base, being male.  Some stats;
• Prostate cancer can develop without men experiencing any symptoms;
• Every year around 18,700 Australian men are diagnosed;
• More than 3,000 men die of the disease;
• Prostate cancer is the second largest cause of male cancer deaths, after lung cancer;
• Almost one in eleven men will develop prostate cancer during his lifetime;
• Early detection enables better outcomes and a potential cure;
All men should be aware of their risk of the disease and consider being tested regularly from age 50 onwards, or from 40 onwards if there is a family history of prostate cancer.  There are constant research programs and clinical trials taking place to stop the fight against this terrible disease. This is why we need your help in the race to beat it. Following the Fuchs Australian Nationals, ANDRA Pro Series will issue a press release that will incorporate the total contributions made.
