Bangers & Mash Classes

• • Nostalgia & Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars: Nitro Funny Cars running to either NHRA Nostalgia Funny Car or Outlaw Funny Car rules
  • AA/Fuel Altereds
  • Nostalgia Super Stock (entry comes with 4 crew) 
  • Vintage Gas (entry comes with 2 crew): Split into the following brackets:
    • A/Vintage Gas: 0-9.99
    • B/Vintage Gas: 10.00 and slower
      • NOTE: If minimum of 6 cars is not met in one or both fields, category will run as one combined class
  • Front-Engine Dragsters (entry comes with 4 crew): Split into the following brackets:
    • V8 Supercharged
    • V8 Naturally Aspirated
    • 6 Cylinder all configurations
      • NOTE: If minimum of 6 cars not met in one or more fields, categories will be run as combined classes as necessary
  • Altereds (entry comes with 4 crew): Split into the following brackets: 
    • V8 Supercharged
    • V8 Naturally Aspirated
    • 6 Cylinder all configurations
      • NOTE: If minimum of 6 cars not met in one or more fields, categories will be run as combined classes as necessary
  • Hot Rod Mayhem – Pre-1948 (entry comes with 2 crew): Split into the following brackets:
    • A/Hot Rod: 0-9.99
    • B/Hot Rod: 10.00 and slower
      • NOTE: If minimum of 6 cars not met in one or more fields, categories will be run as combined classes as necessary
  • Doored/Sedan Classes:
    • Nostalgia Street (entry comes with 2 crew) (Sedan Cars 13.00 and slower) 
    • Nostalgia Gas (entry comes with 2 crew) (Sedan Cars 10.00-12.99) 
    • Nostalgia Sportsman (entry comes with 2 crew) (Sedan Cars 0-9.99) 
  • Nostalgia Outlaws: (entry comes with 4 crew): 0-7.99
  • Veteran & Vintage Speedsters (entry comes with 1 crew): Running to the 1/8 mile

GENERAL RULE:
◾️ All IHRA Australia safety and compliance rules apply
◾️All racers running between 10.00 and 12.99 that don’t have an IHRA Australia license will require a day license which can be applied for on the IHRA Australia website
◾️All racing will be to Chicago Shootout format with minimum one qualifier for non-nitro categories
◾️Sydney Dragway reserves the right to re-classify or decline entries to ensure class compliance
◾️Open to all pre 1979 vehicles for non-street cars
◾️For all street cars, open to vehicles eligible for historic NSW plates. (Restricted to Australian & American body styles only)

DRAG RACING AWARDS: 
Bangers & Mash is all about having a bit of fun, putting on a show and celebrating everything we love about old-school drag racing. We will be handing out a few special awards throughout the event including:

🚀 Best Wheelstand
🎭 Best Showmanship – Bring the personality! Dress up, get the crew involved and put on a show.

◾️People's choice - A register will be on the eastern hill where any patron can cast their vote. 

This isn't just a race weekend, it's a celebration of automotive history, passion and old school cool

>All Gassers will run the Chicago Shootout format with the field split down the middle giving you the A&B bracket to double the action.

>All Gassers must comply with the Vintage gas rules available in the above link
